"Upsidedown" co-author Anja Tuckermann won the German Youth Literature Prize 2006 for “Denk nicht wir bleiben hier” (English: “Don’t think we’re staying here”), a true story about a Sinti man who lived during the German Nazi regime and survived both Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen. Peter Lilienthal also has a unique relationship with Camilo’s home country. In 1979, he shot the widely acclaimed feature film “La Insurrección” (The Uprising) with cameraman Michael Ballhaus.
